SPEAKER_00My gorgeous wife, Bebe. So nice.
SPEAKER_01Right here in the studio. So we've obviously had my dad on before, but we haven't had Deb. They're here visiting, so we had to have part two with the full crew. I'm apparently a little rusty. We've still made some primo content. The reason we're sharing a mic is because we couldn't figure it out. Not for lack of trying. It's been about two hours. He talks pretty quiet, but we're hoping to get something amazing still for you. So hi, we're here. But we've never had my stepmom on, and I don't like that word. It has like an angry tone to it. You know? You need to lean in.

SPEAKER_01Um, but my dad's here visiting at my house, so we're here. We're excited. We're recording a pod because why not? You know? So it's his 60th birthday. We have we have six zero balloons. It's very exciting. And we're gonna ask some questions today of the lovely couple.

SPEAKER_01Great. So, as I mentioned, you're turning 60. Yes. What year were you born?

SPEAKER_01So, what were you doing in 69?
SPEAKER_00Crawling around, probably. I was three, so I was toddling.
SPEAKER_01How old were you when you lost your virginity?

SPEAKER_00Oh, sorry, we can't say that. I was illegal. 18.

SPEAKER_00Yes, yes. It's worse as a boy, believe me. At least it was back in my day. Anyway.
SPEAKER_01At 60, what's something you no longer pretend to care about?

SPEAKER_01Yeah, like, you know, that you feel that's a little bit like, wow, I really couldn't care less about that all of a sudden, but maybe I used to.

SPEAKER_00Like, what if someone thought like yes, because people think the wrong things about me all the time.
SPEAKER_01It bugs me when people think wrong about me too.
SPEAKER_00My whole life. Not my whole life. My adult life. Because I'm quiet, people think that I am arrogant and not I don't want to talk to them because I'm too good for them.

SPEAKER_00Well, both of them. No, but I just don't talk to people because unless I know them, I just don't share. It's I'm very quiet.
SPEAKER_01I remember as a kid when we go to like the grocery store, the cashier would say, How you doing today, sir? And you just wouldn't answer, and it would break my heart. No, you wouldn't say anything. You just mm-mm. I didn't. And me as a kid, I'd be like, He's good, we're good. We're having a good day.
SPEAKER_00You thought I didn't say things, but I did it's hard to hear him.
SPEAKER_01Here's something about my dad, he's quiet.
SPEAKER_00Ask Tony.
SPEAKER_01You guys are familiar with Tony? Going down, going down, done dams. Anyway, sorry, Deb, we're not even letting you talk. We're annoying.
SPEAKER_03No, no, to your point, he absolutely, and that was one of the most shocking things about him when I first met him was that we went out to eat, and the host was like, Hi, how are you guys? I'm like, good.
SPEAKER_01And he's like, Yeah, you act like you respond, you don't.
SPEAKER_03No, not even a little bit. I was like, how?
SPEAKER_01Oh my god. I'm like, you don't talk? He's like, I don't talk.
SPEAKER_00Is it sad?
SPEAKER_01It's sad because when I hold the door open for someone and they don't say thank you, I'm like, Yes, people think I'm a dick all the time. So that doesn't bother you, or it does bother you?
SPEAKER_00After a lifetime of people thinking I'm a dick, no, it doesn't bother me anymore. Now I'm old, I'm expected to be.
SPEAKER_01A dick? I'm confused. You do or you don't care? About some people. Okay.

SPEAKER_01So who? People that know you and love you? Yes. Okay. That feels right. Um also later today we're gonna do a taste test. Completely random, but I want to introduce it. If you guys watch the Super Bowl, which they didn't, but I was telling them about the commercial with the Coca-Cola bear. If you saw it, he was like debating back and forth between Diet Coke and Pepsi Zero. So anyway, we got to talking and we're gonna do a full-on taste test today, folks. So Gabe's gonna come in. We have five different options. He's not gonna tell us what they are. You are bumping the camera again. Get your little tozies out of here. We have Diet Coke, Pepsi Zero, Coke Zero, Regular Coke, and Diet Pepsi. That's all those. Sorry, folks. All those. And so we're gonna try them and we're gonna see a couple things. Number one, can we taste the difference? Number two, what's our favorite? And number three, is Coke truly better than Pepsi?

SPEAKER_01We've been wondering. And apparently he can taste like if there's a sniff of regular Coke in his diet coke. So he's apparently like a police dog. So we'll see if that actually tracks. What's a trend that's happening right now that makes you say absolutely not? What do you see these days that the kids are doing that you're like, that's weird?

SPEAKER_03No, but it but you thought it was gonna shrink, and all it was was like cover up. It was like highlighter. Well, I don't I don't know if it shrank or not.
SPEAKER_00I would have had to use it to find out if it shrank. It was just I never used it. No. It wasn't makeup, damn it. It was clear.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. Oh, so you ordered something else?
SPEAKER_00Oh, that little yellow tube. Oh, the most I got the most old thing that I bought. What? Hair coloring that you shampoo in and it gradually fades the gray. There.

SPEAKER_00No, it's great. It just the outside doesn't look like the layout. It's like, that's weird. Yeah. It's nice though. It's very nice. I like it.
SPEAKER_03It's gorgeous. It is, yeah. It is absolutely beautiful. Everything matches. I was just talking about it.

SPEAKER_03Even your bathroom. You have the animal with the hair. Yeah. And then I'm like, the wall. There's no clutter. It's like the hair. It all I love a match. There's no cluttering. And downstairs. I'm like, oh, this looks like the hair on the and like was it intense? It was intentional. I feel like everything you have. Thank you. Every single thing in this house. Yes, it's decorated wonderfully. It is.

SPEAKER_00I listened to this uh radio show. It was a long time ago. And there's an online following of that radio show.
SPEAKER_01Much like my cherries. Yes.
SPEAKER_00But it was for the radio show, not a podcast. But whatever. You get what I'm saying. Did I tell you it was a radio show? Anyway, on this radio show, there's like a fan thing. I don't remember it was it's like a Patreon. I think it was a Facebook group or some shit. I don't remember.
SPEAKER_03It was a Facebook group.
SPEAKER_00And you know, fans, I'm sure you're like your fan group exchanging zingers back and forth amongst themselves. Yeah, so I don't know. I was friends with some people. And I was moving back down SoCal from up here. I told those people, and one of those people turned out to be her sister. I was getting off drinking at that time. So your sister said to you, what?
SPEAKER_03So there's this guy I know on Facebook, and he's a little coming undone right now. And he's moving to Southern California, and I think he's trying to stop drinking, but I think you'd get a real kick out of him. And it sounds like he's gonna be kind of around you. I don't know.

Well, I remember him because I was also on Belcher's fan page, but then he got a little bit too like gnarly for me, and I was like, gotta not this. But I remember seeing his profile, and I literally stopped in my tracks. I'm I will I know this moment. I was in my son's bedroom on his computer, and I was going through Facebook, and it was his profile picture, like by a lake or river or something. I stopped and I was like, What a beautiful. Uh did my best and will fix that for future episodes. Also just wanted to share that I still don't have a schedule, but I am looking to get back to the pod. I know you've heard it, but this is proof of that. I am now actually unemployed for many reasons, but that has given me free time to pursue a lot of different things, get my life together, refill my cup, etc. etc. So that has given me more time for this. I'm hoping that that will allow me to create a more streamlined process. But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy. I'm off on a road trip tomorrow, and then my birthday is next week, and I'm just looking forward to it. So I guess the only other thing I want to tell you for now is that I've become such a bookworm. I'm obsessed. I have read all of the Fourth Wing books, and now I'm on Avatar, and I'm just in my romanticy era. I'm loving every minute of it. I read so many hours a day now, and it's kind of like my own personal treat, and I'm really grateful for that.
